One of the most inspiring parts of my work is the variety of clients and projects I get to bring to life. Each person brings their own story, style, and vision, and I love creating spaces that reflect and celebrate their unique essence.

This is a legendary Danish furniture retail shop I merchandised in Soho. I think this is a great example of how neutrals can be seen as very colorful. The art on the walls had to match the caliber of the classic furniture surrounding it, so for these giant walls I chose art by Anki King, a Norwegian artist the resides in NYC.
Giani needed to repair the walls in their living room after a water pipe exploded. They absolutely loved the Mexican Orchid and Architecture Show that visited New York Botanical Garden this past Spring. This is an ongoing project, yet so far we have pulled together some amazing tropical jewel tones. The colors that are used also have psychological and spiritual intentions. By balancing the cool colors of purple, Caribbean blue, and grass green we have created a very soothing atmosphere, the combination keeps everything alive. Stay tuned for further updates.
This lobby transformation began after a burst pipe in the drop ceiling caused extensive interior damage. Once the immediate repairs were addressed and internal floor pipes upgraded, the space required foundational restoration. We began with the dust-intensive work, leveling the cement floors and embracing the exposed structure by painting the ceiling rather than reinstalling a drop ceiling. Walls and ceiling were primed to create a clean backdrop for a rich Benjamin Moore chocolate brown accent wall, chosen to honor the building’s natural character and industrial integrity.
The original mid century terrazzo steps and bench were preserved and celebrated, with plans for a custom cushion to enhance comfort. Floors were stained and polished with a durable, non-slip finish. Window treatments feature 5% light-filtering roll-down shades, allowing natural light to enter while maintaining privacy—creating a welcoming space for residents waiting for a taxi or for children to gather and play.
To foster community, I installed a shared library stocked with donated books and created a large-scale art piece by stretching Marimekko fabric over canvas. An IKEA bookcase was elevated using sanded, stained, and waxed lumberyard planks, achieving a custom look while maintaining budget awareness. Lighting was thoughtfully calculated according to room dimensions and bulb wattage, resulting in a streamlined track lighting plan installed between beams. Warm 2500K LED bulbs complete the space with a classic, understated glow.
For Giovanna, an archivist with a deep appreciation for history, the design approach centered on honoring the character of her 1925 apartment building. We restored and highlighted original architectural elements while thoughtfully integrating period-appropriate details. Her collection of objects reflected the era of the building, so we leaned into that sensibility by replacing all door hardware with antique knobs complete with matching side and back plates for the original wood doors. In the library/guest room, I custom-designed a daybed using a premade trundle base, upholstering the mattress in removable covers and creating coordinating foam back cushions for comfort and cohesion. A standout piece in the space is the Paul McCobb black sideboard with leather-front doors, which anchors the room with sculptural presence and timeless sophistication.
Adora is a young professional joyfully beginning her life in NYC. She moved into her apartment with a clean slate and a beautiful opportunity to create her first true home. With her budget in mind, I focused on grounding the space with essential key pieces and defining each area with purpose and comfort. We introduced a welcoming sofa, dresser, lighting, end tables, and a cozy dining area to set the foundation for her new chapter.
I sourced all the lighting for a beautiful Victorian home, blending my extensive knowledge of lighting design and styles. Peter and Juno wanted fixtures that honored the elegance of the past while embracing a modern sensibility. When designing lighting plans, I calculate the perfect balance of light a room needs, ensuring it meets today’s standards while enhancing the overall aesthetic.
I live near the historic Victorian Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY, which often influences my work. For Lisa, I sourced unique pieces, including two rugs, one for the living room, another for the dining room and a set of mismatched dining chairs. I believe quality lies in timeless, well-crafted furniture. By thrifting, I found a set of 8 antique sturdy dining chairs for just $52, well below budget, that needed no refinishing—perfectly aged for Lisa’s vision. We also added a settee sofa as dining room seating, blending charm with functionality.
Susan is an illustrator of her own children's books, and her rising fame in Latin America for her Spanish-language stories caught the attention of NBC and Telemundo. With just seven days to prepare for their in-home interview, we pulled together a new rug, sofa, and coffee table, rented an antique gold floor lamp, and added a personal element with a Norwegian lounge chair and a large 1950s Blenko floor vase from my own collection. To enhance the space, we chose Colombian-made throw pillows, inspired by the vibrant, jungle-themed embroidery common in Latin American countries—a detail close to my heart as a Costa Rican.
